Living and walking around

We walk streets, forests and fields being under the influence of our thoughts and the things around us. Our thoughts are as versatile as the things we see, hear, feel. We have the choice between two worlds, but we can rarely make it consciously or deliberately. We often float helplessly in the worlds of our heads or things, both of which are real and imaginary, like a piece of wood on the surface of the sea. The wood can never dive deep to the bottom, can never see fish and plants as little as we can find approach to the world of animals, trees, rivers, lakes. We stay on the surface or even move above it. Our thoughts as well as the things themselves carry us in worlds which either only partly exist or don’t exist at all.

This is one way to see things.

The surrounding world can stir up consolation, confirmation, fascination, awe, happiness, fear, terror, disgust and all kinds of things in us, sometimes at the right, sometimes at the wrong time. Sometimes we can affect the suitability of the occasion, most often not, which is one reason for the thrill in our lives.

However, it would be great again to walk around and forget about the opportunity to take pictures of the things we see. It would be great to resolve ourselves in the music we hear without thinking of the connection it has to our own lives. It would be great to completely concentrate on the world in our heads, so that we can find better or even optimal solutions for the things bothering or challenging us. It would be great to work with our hands without being distracted by our thoughts. It would be great to… But, would it really be?

As much as we have become slaves of today’s pressure and expectations we have become slaves of this visionary subjunctive, which can take us away from life more than let us be a decent part of it.
